Norman Robert Winoski
Norman R. Winoski, 97, passed away February 1, 2013 after a short illness. He was born October 25, 1915 in Snohomish to Robert and Clara Winoski. He attended Snohomish schools, graduating from Snohomish High School.
Norm was a member of the “Greatest Generation”, and proudly served our country in the US Army in Africa and Europe during WWII.
Norm was preceded in death by Rosalie (Theiss) Winoski, his wonderful wife of 56 years. Norm was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather. Norm owned and operated a service station in Snohomish for many years. He enjoyed boating in the San Juan Islands with his family. After retirement, Norm spent winters with his wife in Arizona and made jewelry as a hobby.
Norm is survived by his daughters Pam Leon (Rob) of Everett, and Norma (Nums) Lundergan of Salt Lake City, Utah, along with his grandsons, Bobby and Tommy Leon. Norm also leaves behind his special friend, Maryann Binnion, and many other friends. A graveside service is planned for early March, where he will be laid to rest with his wife on Guemes Island.
