Alice Theresa Schreder, 88, of Anacortes, WA, passed away on the first day of the year 2026. She carried with her a legacy of love and unlimited kindness. Originally from Wabasha, MN, she left the cold snowy terrain to land in the sunshine state of California, where she raised her four children. She was a steadfast mother, devoting her time to caring for her family. After many years of growing and thriving in California, she travelled north to Anacortes to continue to be near her children as they were now raising their own families.

Alice loved holding conversations with just about anyone. Being a waitress, this skill came naturally to her. She always treated everyone she met with the utmost kindness and respect, like a fellow human being. Her duty in this world seemed to be to put a smile on one's face and to find the light in the storm. Some of her favorite pastimes were playing games, watching football, and reading a really good book. Most of all though, she loved to spend time with her family.

Alice is survived by her three children, Linda Williams, Nancy Menard, and Steven Schreder; her seven grandchildren; and her many great-grandchildren.
