Barbara Ellen Torres, 78, a longtime Anacortes resident went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 2, 2021.  She was born on June 18, 1943, in Morton, WA; the daughter of Clyde and Helen McGarity.  Barbara or "Bobbie" as she was fondly known growing up; and later "Nana" to her grandkids and great grandkids was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Michelle "Shelley" Torres.  She is survived by her kids: Steve (Diane) Torres, Teresa (Alex Pfister) and Colleen Torres; grandkids: Christopher, Matthew Torres, Zach (Sarah) McCown, Melissa Wilde, Kennedy Greer, Tasha (Joseph Fleisher) and Alysha (Izaak Monroe); sister, Joanne (Jerry Foultner); nephews and niece: Jerry Lee, Ron Foultner and Cheryl (Kim Van Cleef) and many great grandkids.

Surrounded by Your Glory
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance with You, Jesus,
Or in awe of You, be still?
Will I stand in Your presence,
Or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing Hallelujah?
Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine.

You were special to those who knew you.  We will miss you and your sense of humor greatly.  We can only imagine what it will be like to be with you again.  Love you Mom.  Barbara will be laid to rest in Fernhill Cemetery in a private ceremony.  A Celebration of Life will be held later this summer.  Please contact family for further information.
