Betty May (Chase) Orberg's life began in Seattle, WA, at Swedish Hospital on Augusst 17 1931.  She was the first of four beloved children born to Edwin and Minnie.  Betty passed away peacefully, two days after her 93rd birthday, on August  19, 2024, in Anacortes, WA.

Her early years were spent in Everett, where she graduated from Everett High School with the Class of 1949.  She married the love of her life, John A. Orberg in 1951.  Two children were born to them, a son and a daughter.  Betty dedicated her life to her family and her community.  She was a stay-at-home mum during their children's formative years.  She then entered the work force in the healthcare industry.

Betty lived her entire life in Washington State.  Upon her retirement in 1988, the Orbergs moved to Anacortes.  Together they enjoyed their retirement by engaging in activities they loved, such as cruises, camping and touring with the Skagit Old Car Club in their 1939 Ford.

Betty will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit, her love for adventure, and her unwavering devotion to her family. She lived a wonderful life and the world was a better place with her in it.  She leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will be cherished by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and great, greatgranchild, Grayson. Betty is survived by their son John (Sherri) and daughter Carol; grandchildren: Richard (Melissa), Katherine (Shayne), Nicole Rose; great grandchildren: Bradley, Breanne, Ryan, Kasey, Ashlee & Debbie; great, great grandchildren: Sophia and Oliver; her siblings:Donald (Donna), Donna (Wayne), & Lynn (Dick).
