It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Bonita Gay Janz who departed this life peacefully on April 20, 2026, aged 87 at Island Hospital with daughter Robin, nurse Tina and family friend Tim at her side.
Bonita was cherished by family and friends alike for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit. From a young age Bonita felt music and nature and as she grew, she shared her talents wherever her travels took her. She settled in Anacortes and was an active member of the community, singing and playing the organ in several local churches. After retirement from Dr. Longs local practice, she and her beloved Hershel Janz lit up the dance floor with their fancy feet in Celebration of life. Bonita's compassion and dedication leave a Legacy that will be remembered for years to come.
