CARL WILKES RAGSDALE died on May 29, 2021, in Anacortes, Washington. He was born in Daviess County, Indiana on May 14, 1931. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Wilkes W. and Myrtle (Wuertz) Ragsdale, as well as his 3 brothers and 3 sisters.  

  Carl is survived by his wife of 64 years Sue Ann (Hart) Ragsdale, adult children Rex Ragsdale, M.D.  of Phoenix, AZ, Susan Harris, and Jan Clayton, both of Anacortes, Washington. Son-in-laws Mark Harris, M.D., and Carl Clayton.  Five grandchildren; Leslie Ragsdale-Fisk, Ben Harris, Kellen Ragsdale, Chelsea Harris, and Katelyn Clayton-Asare, and five great-grandchildren.  He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family living in Indiana, Ohio, and Arizona.  

  He was a member of the Washington High School (Indiana) class of 1949. He served in the United States Air Force from 1950-1955.  He was a commercial pilot and the first manager of the Henderson (Kentucky) City-County airport. Carl was a businessman and entrepreneur in the plastics and commercial printing industries in Evansville, Indiana. He was an active leader and trustee of what is now Crossroads Christian Church in Evansville.  

  He loved to travel and was a talented photographer, well known for his stunning nature photos from Arizona and Washington state.  

  Carl was interred Grand View Cemetery in Anacortes. A Celebration of Life for Carl will be held at Evans Funeral Chapel with live video streaming on June 18  ^th  at 3:00 P.M. PST.
