Carla Anne Meyers, born October 24, 1960, in Duluth, Minnesota, passed away on June 4, 2024, at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, Washington. Surrounded by those who loved her, Carla's final moments reflected the warmth and kindness that defined her life. A free spirit with an infectious laugh, Carla lived a life rich in experiences and meaningful relationships.

She graduated from Pacific Lutheran University, where she designed her interdisciplinary undergraduate degree. She later earned a master's in education at the University of California, Riverside. Carla dedicated many years to teaching, first as a primary school teacher and homeschool educator for her daughters, and then as a substitute teacher.

She later pursued her passion for healing as a massage therapist, opening Cozy Cove Massage Studio in Anacortes, Washington. Carla's love for the arts and nature was evident in her many hobbies, which included crafting, gardening, hiking, and beachcombing. She shared a love of puzzling with her daughter Hannah and painting with her daughter Laura.

A lifelong traveler, Carla explored Europe as a young adult and was one of the original "Tumbleweeds" at Shakespeare and Company in Paris, France. Her creative energy and adventurous spirit inspired her daughters, Laura and Hannah. She once visited them in Colombia, and they made the journey to Machu Picchu in Peru. Carla was a kind, authentic soul who truly valued the connections and little things in life that matter most. Even after her diagnosis in 2022, Carla continued to embrace life fully, visiting Hawaii with her lifelong friends Gale Springer and Wendy Heider and spending cherished time with her daughters; friends on the island; and her cat, Albus.

Carla is survived by her daughters, Hannah Smythe Meyers and Laura Smythe; and brothers, Tim Meyers and Stewart Meyers. She was predeceased by her parents, Warren and Anne Meyers, who both rest in Anacortes. Carla's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
