Catherine Virginia Wolfe was born on April 30, 1924 in Catonsville, Maryland. She was a professional Registered Nurse for 40 years and received her B.S. and M.S. in Nursing from the University of Maryland. Her Nursing career included the U.S. Department of Health, the Veterans Administration and three years Nursing on the Navajo Indian Reservation, Arizona. She always said that her most famous patient was Judy Garland in Los Angeles. Virginia retired in 1988 as Director of Nursing, Jefferson County Health Department in Denver, Colorado.

"Ginny" married Wes Wolfe on November 24, 1961. Their daughter, Jennifer, was born on November 27, 1962 at Appomattox Court House, National Historical Park, Virginia. Her hobbies included Folk Dancing, Floral arrangements, Crossword puzzles, Bridge and Table Tennis. She and her husband played in 25 National Table Tennis Tournaments in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ginny and Wes moved to Anacortes in 1999 with their daughter's family and became members of St. Mary Catholic Church. Ginny's maiden name was McKenzie and she travelled to Scotland, three times during her retirement. Virginia loved walking on the beach, reading, her cats and mystery shows. Family was Virginia's priority. She cherished the time she spent with her daughter Jennifer, son-in-law: Keith Paddock and her two grandsons: Carson and Collin Paddock. Not surprisingly, her grandsons always won playing checkers with her. She and Jennifer were especially close and the best of friends. Ginny's husband, Wes, meant the whole world to her and they spent nearly 56 years together.

Ginny died peacefully at home on November17, 2017 with her family at her side. Her last days were as happy and cheerful as possible. She was on hospice care for the last eight months of her life. Ginny was a loving, gentle, caring lady and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. The family extends their grateful thanks to Dr. Rieger, the nurses of Home Health Hospice and her friends at the Hair Shoppe.
