Charles Martin Nore was born in Wrangell, Alaska, the oldest of seven children born to Martin and Celestine Nore on September 9, 1941. Charlie graduated with the class of 1959 from Wrangell High School. In 1964, he was drafted for two years into the Army into the 1st infantry Division at Ft Riley Kansas, then did a tour in Vietnam. After the Army he worked at Nore's Building Supply in Wrangell, and in the summers he worked with Edwin Calbreath on the riverboats that traveled from Wrangell to Telegraph Creek. He attended for two years at Kinman Business University in Spokane where he met his future wife, Lynne Robeck. They were married in Wrangell on August 30,1969. They soon moved to Anchorage where he worked as an accountant and then at Spenard Builder's Supply. Daughter Tiffany was born on September 15,1970 and daughter Deborah was born February 6,1972.

In the Spring of 1973, Charlie and his family moved to Anacortes, Washington where daughter Paula was born on February 5, 1979. In Anacortes, he did some commercial fishing and worked in real estate before he started his own business, Nor-Vac Sweeping. After retiring, he returned to Wrangell during the summers for many years to spend time on his boat and do a little fishing.

Charlie is survived by his wife Lynne of 55 years, daughters Tiffany Nore, Deborah (Wes) Frank, Paula (Jason) McDonald and grandchildren Madelynne Nore and Joshua Kelly. He is also survived by his sisters Evelyn Piatt of Kenai, Alaska, Patricia Gordaoff of Sedro Woolley, Washington, Jean Garcia of Sedro Woolley, and Marcie (Ozzie) Thomas of Dayton, Washington and brothers Michael (Carolyn) Nore of Anacortes and Steve Nore of Boise Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents Martin and Celestine Nore. A celebration of Charlie's Life was held on July 13th in Anacortes,WA.
