Christina Ann Collings, 68, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 6, 2025. Tina was born in Whittier, California, the third of four children to Charles and Barbara Filipowicz. Tina successfully conquered some early struggles growing into a woman who had a lust for life and adventure. She was an LVN whose loving and caring nature brought comfort to her patients. In 1999 she met Larry the love of her life they literally sailed out of Gig Harbor and were married on the beach in Mexico on December 16, 2000. Together they went on adventures most people only dream of: motorcycling 9000 miles around the US and Canada; living & cruising on a sailboat on the Pacific coast of Mexico for 10 years, wrangling horses in the Colorado Rockies for more than 6 years, and countless cruises. She lived her life to the fullest. Tina truly enjoyed cruising & crabbing in the San Juan Islands, collecting art, Sunday morning breakfasts out in town & listening to live music, as well as, listening to musicals. Tina did not let her cancer impact how she lived life, cruising and crabbing to within a month of her passing.
Tina is survived by Larry Collings her loving husband of 25 years, two brothers, one sister, two daughters, four grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces & nephews, as well as her dog Annie. At Tina's request no formal services will be held. Her remains will be interred at Willamette National Cemetery at a later date. Donations to ASPCA would appreciated in lieu of flowers.
