With grateful hearts for a life well lived, we celebrate the homegoing of Creamola "Creamy" Magdalena Wilkins-Manning, who peacefully entered into eternal rest on June 9, 2026, at the age of 91.

Creamy was born on April 25, 1935, in Scotts, Arkansas, to Edward and Beatrice Wilkins. She was raised in the Baptist church, where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age. Her faith became the cornerstone of her life, and she maintained a close relationship with God throughout her journey. She constantly reminded her family and friends to "always put God above all." Her unwavering trust in the Lord was evident in the way she lived, loved, and served others.

She dedicated many years to caring for others through her work in healthcare. She retired from Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, California, in 1987 after faithfully serving her community. Following her move to Washington, she continued her career in the Microbiology Department at Skagit Valley Hospital, where she was respected for her professionalism and compassionate spirit.

In 1988, Creamy and her beloved husband, Carleton Manning, relocated to Anacortes, Washington, where together they fulfilled a dream of owning and operating the Blue Rose Bed & Breakfast for 13 wonderful years. Their hospitality touched the lives of countless guests who were welcomed with warmth, kindness, and genuine care.

A devoted servant of God and her community, Creamy was an active member of Christ Episcopal Church in Anacortes. She faithfully hosted church services at Chandler Square for many years, ensuring that residents had opportunities for worship, fellowship, and spiritual encouragement.

Her love for learning and sharing knowledge led her to work at the Anacortes Public Library for ten years. She also volunteered as a beloved storyteller, delighting generations of children with her animated readings and joyful spirit.

Creamy believed that serving others was one of life's greatest callings. She was deeply involved in her community as a member of the Anacortes Equestrian Club and PEO, where she formed lasting friendships and generously shared her talents and time.

She embraced life with enthusiasm and creativity. She found joy in reading, gardening, traveling, quilting, sewing, cooking, painting rocks, and creating beautiful things with her hands. When she wasn't busy with one of her many hobbies, she could often be found watching classic Western movies or spending the day thrift shopping with friends, always on the hunt for hidden treasures and sharing plenty of laughter along the way.

Above all else, Creamy cherished her family. Her home was a place of love, wisdom, encouragement, and unforgettable meals. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, resilience, generosity, and unconditional love that will continue to inspire generations.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Edward and Beatrice Wilkins; her devoted husband, Carleton Manning; her cherished daughter, Donna Faye Moore; and her sisters, Rosie Abraham, Hattie Moore, and Lurinda Moore.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving children: James Moore, Martinous Moore, Martha Walls, Karen Walls, and Jacqualine Shackelford (Robert); her beloved sister, Aletha Hill; along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were enriched by knowing her.

Though our hearts are saddened by her passing, we rejoice knowing that she has heard the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant." Her legacy of faith, compassion, hospitality, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
