Delle M. McKinney, 81, of Anacortes, passed peacefully of natural causes, at her residence surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, April 27th. She was born in Seattle on May 9, 1940, the daughter of Ferdinand "Ben" and Margaret (Hayseth) Kirchhof.

Delle graduated from the Lincoln High School in Seattle; attended several quarters at U of WA and received her Associates Degree in Liberal Arts from Central Oregon Community College.  In 1958, while she was at U of WA she met the love of her life, Gary Frank McKinney.  Delle and Gary married on February 4, 1961 in Seattle.  She was the epitome of kindness, courtesy and empathy.  She had a particular love of animals, especially dogs.  Delle was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She will be greatly missed for her grace and enthusiasm.

Delle is preceded in death by her dad.  She is survived by her mother; husband of 61 years, Gary; their children: Jeff and Kelley; three grandchildren: Jaimon, Harper and Logan McKinney and her sister, Debbie Sylvester and family.
