Theresa Delzer was born September 2, 1927, one of 11 children, and grew up working alongside her father and brothers on the fields of the family farm in Zeeland, North Dakota.

While living on the farm she caught the eye of a local boy, Otto Delzer, and in a short time they were married on November 11, 1946. Before moving to Los Angeles in 1953, two daughters were born, with a third completing the family the following year. In LA, Theresa worked at the Los Angeles Unified School District as a pastry chef for 15 years.

In retirement, Theresa and Otto lived in Frazier Park, California, where they constructed and sold homes. It was during that time that Otto, the love of her life for 41 years, suddenly passed away after a short illness. Theresa married Dane Summers in 1994 but was again widowed in 2008. She relocated to Washington State in 2012 where she lived until her death. A devout Catholic her entire life, she passed into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father with family by her side.

Theresa is survived by her daughters Judy Delzer, Donna Ruddell (Kirk), Debra Lacy (Steve), four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
