Donny Lee Struthers (71) of Oak Harbor WA passed away at his home on Aug 15, 2024. He was born on Nov 28, 1952, in Anacortes WA, the son of Billy R. Struthers and Shirly M. (Easter) Struthers.

He graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1971. After graduating, Donny joined the navy where he retired 20 years later. He then owned and operated Donny Struthers Septic Tank Service in Oak Harbor for 1O years. Following the close of his business he then worked as a security guard at the Anacortes refineries until he retired. In June of 1972 Donny married Ann Stewart. They had been married 13 years. During that time, they welcomed their daughter Jennifer. Donny remarried in March of 1985 to Diana DeGroot Ashlock. In 1989 Donny and Diana moved back to Oak Harbor where they lived until his passing.

Donny is survived by wife Diana Struthers (Oak Harbor), daughter Jennifer Lynn Hawthorn of San Diago CA, stepson Kevin DeGroot of San Diego CA, stepdaughter Suzie Jones (Paul) of Ellensburg, WA, brothers George T Struthers {TX), Gary R Struthers (Oak Harbor), Sisters Donna J Schenck (Salem OR), Sherri L Lewellen (Sedro-Woolley WA), Linda S Riley (Tim) (Bow WA). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by parents Billy R Struthers and Shirley M Mulkins.

A memorial service will be held from 1-3 p.m. Sat. Sept 28, 2024, at Taylor Road Fire Dept. 3340 Taylor Rd, Oak Harbor, WA.
