With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ed Lincoln, founder of Lincoln Towing and creator of the iconic Pink Toe Truck. He passed away peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was 84.

Ed was a faithful follower of Jesus, a loving husband, dedicated father, adored grandfather, and proud great-grandfather who led his family with practical wisdom, optimism, unwavering devotion, and warm, ever-ready humor.

In his mid-twenties, Ed honorably served his country in the United States Army and then the United States Air Force before beginning a lifelong career in business. For decades, in partnership with his wife Connie, he was a respected Seattle-area entrepreneur, founding multiple automotive-related businesses including Lincoln Corvettes (a division of Lincoln Auto Wrecking), Lincoln Transport, and Wild West Mustang Ranch. However, Ed was best known for building Lincoln Towing into a highly regarded towing company and for his marketing savvy in creating the Pink Toe Truck. He treasured the smiles inspired by the Toe Truck's many parade appearances and was proud of its place in history as a Seattle landmark. He and Connie were passionate about elevating the public perception of the towing profession. They took great pride in creating a workplace culture where employees were treated like family.

Ed was also an author. In 2010, he published his memoir, Life Through the Rearview Mirror, in which he shared many humorous stories and reflected on the lessons and experiences that shaped his remarkable life.

Ed never met a stranger. He made it his mission to spread smiles and kindness to everyone he encountered. If you met Ed, chances are he gave you a Pink Toe key chain, a fun meter, or a hug. Through his travels across the United States and to five continents abroad, he formed lasting friendships that continue to bless his family today. Ed was known for his optimistic spirit, friendliness, humor, and generosity.

His legacy lives on in the family he raised, the businesses he built, the friendships he cultivated, the laughter he sparked, and the countless lives he impacted along the way.

He is survived by Connie, his devoted wife of 60 years; his daughters Wendy and Katrina and their husbands, Keith and Mark, whom he cherished as sons; his beloved grandchildren Isaac, Luke, Grace, Cole, J, Elijah, and Brooke; and his great-grandchildren Harvest and Callum. He also counted two "adopted" children as family: Craig from Australia and Marcia from Brazil.

Please join us for a memorial service to celebrate Ed's life on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Timberlake Church, 4505 236th Ave NE, Redmond, WA 98053. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend.
