Elizabeth (Betty) Christenson born May 24 1929 passed away from dementia. Born to Ralph and Edith Wilke in Bellingham, Washington. Mom graduated from Bellingham high school. She worked for the telephone company and than decided to attend Western Washington University for a year.

She happened to be at a dance and met the love of her life, Gordon Christenson from Anacortes. They dated for a while and dad asked her to marry him. Her parents were thrilled; they loved our dad. Dad and mom had two daughters born in Bellingham. In 1955 they moved to Anacortes where dad was employed at Shell Refinery.

Mom was a wonderful homemaker. When the girls were older she went to work for the employment office for 10 years. Dad retired and they remodeled their summer home on Lummi Island. They enjoyed gardening and entertaining family and friends. The grandchildren loved going to the beach looking for agates and whales. Just fun beach times and cook outs lots of seafood and sockeye salmon.

They traveled throughout the United States and took many cruises throughout the Caribbean Islands. They spent lots of winter's in Palm Springs. Mom loved her flowers and taught her daughters all about every flower imaginable. She passed the love of flowers to her granddaughters and daughters. She is a member of New hope Christian fellowship and her faith in God was everything.

She was a wonderful mother who will be missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Gordon, granddaughter Stacie (Snyder) Martinson. She leaves behind daughters: Pam (Brad) Snyder Susan (Ben) Coleman; Grandchildren: Eric Coleman (Julie) Jill (Don) Bowker Matthew (Jessica) Coleman Beth (Jimmy) Dorris; 7 great grandchildren.

A special thanks to Joyce for writing and calling her every week and such a wonderful friend since grade school. Mom will be laid next to her husband Gordon Christenson . At her request there will be no funeral.
