Eloise Marion (Buer) Hammer, 88, passed away on Sunday, August 24th, 2025, at Homeplace in Burlington.  She was born on November 30, 1936, in Preston, SD, the daughter of Richard and Esther (Sandum) Buer.   Eloise is survived by her 4 children, Marlon and Erin (Hansen) Hammer of Aurora CO, Jeffrey Hammer of Anacortes WA, Evonne (Hammer) and Keith Clodfelter of Mt. Vernon WA, and Tamera-Dee (Hammer) Zimny of Mukilteo. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, in order of age, Krystina (Hammer) Losinger, Chelsea Hammer, Christopher Hammer, Alyssa Hammer, Hannah (Clodfelter) Roeder, Lauren Zimny,Mitchell Zimny, Maison Zimny, Austin Hammer, and Madelyn Clodfelter along with 6 great-grandchildren, Lillyana, Oliver, Luca, Penelope, Larsen and Torvi. She is also survived by her sister, Marlene (Buer) Welk, brother Harvey (Suzie) Buer, sister Delores (Buer) Hitchman Johnson and Rodney Johnson along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Many people may remember her as the friendly face at Buers Anacortes Floral and Gifts which the family owned for many decades.  She loved the Lord with all her heart and would always check with her children and grandchildren to make sure they made sure to follow the Lord.  One of her favorite things to do was singing the old hymns of the church.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9th, 2025, from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at Evans Funeral Chapel.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 10th, 2025, at Family Life Assembly of God Church in Anacortes, followed by a reception at the church, then interment at Grandview Cemetery.
