Frank Joseph Pogline, Jr., of Anacortes, WA passed away suddenly on November 21, 2024.  He was born in Los Angeles, CA, the son of Frank Sr and Joyce Pogline and brother to two siblings. The Poglines moved to Ferndale, WA when he was 11 years old. After his graduation from Ferndale High School in 1985, Frank joined the Navy and proudly served his country for 22 years.  He met the love of his life Bridgett Ardelle and married her while they were both stationed at NATTC Millington, TN.

During Frank's tour of duty, he deployed aboard the USS Eisenhower, USS John F. Kennedy, USS George Washington and served in numerous shore based commands in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.  His personal awards included Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (5 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), Meritorious Service Medal and various unit and campaign awards.  Frank retired as a Chief Petty Officer in 2009 and returned to Washington to be near family.

Frank made may lifelong friends and made a positive impact on both junior and seniors alike.  One of his favorite lifelong hobbies was fishing.  Whether he was with his brother, mother, wife or kids, Frank was always on the hunt for the next monster catch.  Another thing Frank found joy in was being anywhere on his Victory motorcycle, which he purchased under threat of divorce.  But he managed to charm his wife out of the forewarning.  Frank and Bridgett enjoyed solo rides as well as adventures with friends, on the open road.

Frank was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was taken too soon.  So very loved and never to be forgotten.  May God grant him fair winds and following seas.  Private services will be held for Frank by the family.

He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Joseph Pogline, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Bridgett; children: Kristie, Jessica Young, Bryson and Bentley Pogline; mother, Joyce and siblings: Denise Asuncion and Steve.  Frank will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
