Raymond Gary Gunn, lovingly known as Gary, passed away in his home in the care of his family on September 2, 2026, at the age of 88. He was born on March 19, 1938, in Granite Falls, WA, and educated in Everett.

Gary was a wonderful man, devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend. He lived his life with quiet strength, generosity, and a kindness that made people feel welcomed, respected, and valued.

At the center of Gary’s life was his wife, Christie of 46 years the love of his life. Their love was deep, enduring, and truly special. Christie was his partner, his confident, and the person with whom he shared his greatest joys and life’s most meaningful, moments. Their love was evident to everyone who knew them.

He was a proud father and family man. He leaves behind his children: Brett (Shauna), Deborah (John Evans), Denise Jenee Curran, Kristi Farrington, Vance Curran (Kelli), Stacey, Tim (Devyn).

He is also survived by his sister, Janice Jung Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Luella Jung Gunn, son Rhett Curran, and his sister Barbara Alexander.

Gary proudly served his country in the US Army and was honorably discharged. He had a genuine passion for life. He loved being at the helm of his boat, his hands on the wheel, with the water stretching out ahead of him. He also had a lifelong appreciation for the beauty, power, and speed of Porsches. His love of automobiles naturally became an important part of his career in automotive sales, where he earned the respect and admiration of countless colleagues, customers, and friends.

He was highly regarded in his profession, but it was the way he treated people that truly set him apart. He had a rare gift for making people feel good about themselves. He listened, encouraged, welcomed, and connected with people in a way that made them feel important. He was dependable, trustworthy, and kind-the kind of person you could always count on.

Gary will be profoundly missed by Christie, his children, 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, extended family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him and the love he gave, the memories he created will remain.
