Gary D Haeck, Sr., of Anacortes, Washington, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, with his wife and children by his side. He was born in Montrose, Colorado, the son of William and Marguerite Haeck.
Gary grew up in Sunnyside, Utah. He graduated from Grand Junction High School (CO) and continued with college before becoming a Boilermaker by trade. He worked as a Boilermaker until his retirement in 2014.
Gary met the love of his life, Elizabeth Anna Brown at the Sucia Reef in Anacortes, on August 11, 1980. They were married on October 5, 1983. He gave his heart to the Lord Jesus in 1993. Gary has six children; Angela, Gary, Jr., Aaron, Tylor, Tristen and Mary. Gary loved going on long drives with his children and dog, Roxi. Whenever he was away longer than expected, he would always say, "We are getting popcorn and coke." He loved his family and friends with his whole heart.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents, His brother, William and sisters: Sue and Jeanene. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth of 39 years, his sister, Mona and children: Angela (Max), Gary Jr, (Barbie), Aaron, Tylor (Breann), Tristen (Sarah) and Mary (Ryan); grandchildren: Garret, Paige, Alison, Myla, Kinzlee, Ellie , Nolan and Ashley; mother-in-law, Mary Goodman; sister-in-law, Theresa (Tony) DenHartog; brother-in-law, Jess (Crystal) Brown.
