Son of Paul and May (Grieve) Smith. Jerry was a graduate of Franklin High School.  He entered the Korean War as a medic and received a bronze star with "V" for heroic achievement.  Upon his return home, he worked in the sheet metal trade. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and going to his cabin. He will be laid to rest at Tahoma National Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation for Wounded Warriors.

Jerry's service will be on October 22nd at 2pm at Tahoma National Cemetery. Address: 18600 S.E. 204th St., Kent, WA  98042.  Phone: 425-413-9614. Directions are available at https:/ www.cem.va.gov as well as Covid 19 cemetery requirements.
Please arrive by 1:45.  His service will take place promptly at 2.  There will be a parking area specifically for Jerry's service.  You will be led to a committal shelter. The committal service takes place at this location, not at the gravesite, and lasts for about 20 minutes. The burial happens after the committal service and can be viewed at 4pm.
