Irene Mae Ethridge, 83, of Anacortes, passed away on February 3, 2022, at Island Hospital.  She was born on March 4, 1938, in Seattle, the daughter of Harriet Bonge-Hill and Cliff Campbell.

Irene was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother.  She married the love of her life, Arthur Ethridge, Sr., and together they had six children. Irene spent her life devoted to her husband and children. She gave her all with everything she did and would sacrifice her own needs so her children would not have to do without.  Irene was always there whenever anyone needed anything.

Her favorite pastimes were watching the boats float down the bay at night and sketching her favorite subjects: cats, babies, butterflies, dragonflies, the stars, sunrises and sunsets.  Her Christian faith was a highlight of her life which she earnestly lived by.

She was predeceased by her parents and her husband.  Irene is survived by her children: Arthur  Jr., Karl, Vernon and Theresa; 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren;  her sisters: Joan Webster, Liz Carefoot, Sandi West; her brothers: Harold and Gus Conrad.  She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.
