James Lee McClure, 82, of Anacortes, WA, passed away at his home on Monday, February 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 5, 1942, in Los Angeles, CA, to Robert Neale and Deloris Anieta (Lawien) McClure.  Jim grew up with three brothers, Bob, Bill, and John. He worked hard and earned his Eagle Scout Rank on September 19, 1957, and continued to be involved with Scouting for many years. Jim attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and graduated from San Francisco State College on June 19, 1965. Jim met the love of his life, Diana Louise Louderback, in high school and they were married on June 15, 1963. He worked as an electrical inspector in California, first for PG&E and then for Caltrans before retiring to Anacortes in 2007. Jim and Diana were members of Anacortes Christ the King Church and participated in various small groups. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Deloris.  Jim is survived by his wife of 61 years, Diana; sons, Michael (Colleen) McClure of Anacortes, WA, and Steven (Karen) McClure of Auburn, CA; daughter, Kathleen (Dennis) Vizgaudis of Fortuna, CA; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Private family services will be held in April at Grand View Cemetery in Anacortes.  Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Chapel & Crematory Inc. of Anacortes, WA & the San Juan Islands.
