Jennifer Marie Nelson, born on June 8, 1974, in Sacramento, California, passed away peacefully at her residence on Orcas Island, Washington, on December 22, 2024, at the age of 50. ​

She was the daughter of John and Diane (Quinliven) Collum and sister to Kristine and Jeff. Jennifer spent her childhood in Kirkland, Washington, where she attended high school. ​ Throughout her life, she moved around various parts of Washington before settling on Orcas Island, her favorite place. ​

Jennifer worked as a bookkeeper for multiple companies, dedicating her professional life to her work. ​ She had a passion for being on the water, searching beaches for sea glass and pottery, foraging for mushrooms, hiking, reading, collecting antiques, and watching UW Huskies college football. ​ Above all, she cherished any activity that involved her beloved children. ​

She is survived by her parents, John and Diane; children, Jakob and Ella;  her siblings, Kristine and Jeff,  as well as many cousins and an aunt. ​Jennifer's love for life and her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
