Jennifer Michele
Scott
Jun 14, 1985 — Aug 3, 2021
Sedro Woolley
Jennifer Michele Scott, 36, of Sedro Woolley, passed away in a motor vehicle accident on Saturday, August 3, 2021, on her way home from work. She was born on June 14, 1985, at El Paso, Texas, the daughter of David and Catherine (Akins) Scott. Her father passed away when she was three and the Scott family moved to Burlington in 1996.
Jennifer attended Bellingham Technical College together with her sister Catherine and upon graduation both received Associated Degrees in Practical Nursing. They both found employment with Mira Vista Care Center and there they met many of the same friends they have today from housekeeping to kitchen staff they became family. She was employed by St. Francis Care Center in Bellingham at the time of her passing.
Jennifer was a mother first and nurse second amongst many other things. She loved her daughter, whom she considered her biggest achievement in life. She also loved her niece Hailey who she was caring for full time for the past year. Jennifer was a people person and loved trying out new eateries; her favorite food being Wiener Schnitzel and visiting places like Silverwood in Idaho, Evergreen State Fair and enjoyed hip hop concerts for fun. She had an infectious smile and glowed when she smiled.
As a nurse, she loved her job, made many friends with colleagues and patients. Jennifer was passionate, empathetic, kind, and loving nurse; and made it a life mission to ensure everyone she encountered had the best care and received dignity in death. Her favorite color was purple and favorite creatures were frogs, especially the purple frogs.
Jennifer is predeceased by her dad, grandmother Eva Scott, dear family friends, Lil Timmy and Carl Kellerman. She is survived by her mom, Cathy; husband, Salvador Herrera Tinoco, daughter, Lilly Bertha Tinoco Herrera; mother-in-law: Bertha Tinoco; siblings: Catherine and Zack Scott; nieces: Hailey, Eva Smith and Savanna Childers; and family friend Sherry Kellerman. Her presence amongst us will be deeply missed.
