Jennifer Sue Grove (Jenny) of Anacortes, Washington was born February 22, 1975 in Sedro Woolley, Washington.  Soon after birth she was a patient at Children's Hospital, in Seattle, Washington.  At the age of 47, she died on May 3, 2022 at Whatcom Hospice House in Bellingham, Washington, as the result of a large brain tumor.

Jenny attended the Skagit Preschool Association for the Rehabilitation of Children in  Burlington, Washington.  She also was a student at Evergreen Elementary School and Cascade Middle School in Sedro Woolley, Washington.  Her favorite teacher in Sedro Woolley was Jean Kay. Jenny later attended Oak Harbor High School. She graduated from Anacortes High School/Special Education in 1996 at the age of 21.  Jenny enjoyed singing in the Anacortes High School Choir, under the direction of her teacher, Laurie Julius-Carver.  Jenny developed strong friendships with her school bus drivers, especially Linda and Von.

Jenny's Christian faith was strong and important to her.  She loved to sing songs to Jesus with friends and family.  She was baptized and confirmed her Christian Faith at Edison Lutheran Church. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Anacortes for the past 21 years.  She is now with Jesus in paradise, as promised to all believers.

During Jenny's Anacortes High School instruction, she developed skills as a paper shredder operator.  Jenny, and her parents, Jim and Susan Grove established Confidential Paper Shredding Service, a data destruction company that served northwest Washington for many years.  Jenny enjoyed traveling in the company truck, especially when it was lunchtime at some of her favorite restaurants.  This business was sold in 2015 when Jenny retired.

Jenny was always quick to give a hug and kind words to friends and family.  She was observant and thoughtful.

Jenny enjoyed Saturday morning breakfast at the Farmhouse Restaurant for many years.  The staff was always full of grace and very helpful to our family.

Jenny participated in Special Olympics.  She enjoyed swimming and bowling very much.

She became "Aunt Jenny" in 2018 when Charlie Grove was born to her brother C.J. Grove and sister-in-law Naomi Grove.  Timothy Grove, her second nephew, was born in 2020.  A third child is due for birth in August 2022.

Jenny is survived by her parents, Jim and Susan Grove and Grandmother Clarice Grove of Anacortes.  Her brother C.J. Grove, his wife Naomi and nephews Charlie and Timothy live in Bothell, Washington.  Her Uncle Dean Hayes, Sr. and friend Dianna Sibley live in Mount Vernon Washington, Uncle Roger Grove and his wife Sydney Grove live in Grandview Washington.  Jenny's first cousins are Dean Hayes Jr., Christine Dowhaniuk, Joshua Grove and Katie Powell.  Jenny was preceded in death by her grandparents Hilton and Addie Hayes and Irl Grove.
