Jerome 'Jerry' Maurice Boyer, 90, died quietly at home November 13, 2022, with his family at his side.  Born June 8, 1932, in St. Louis, Missouri to Fidelis 'Tex' and Estelle (Vorwerk) Boyer.

Jerry was the oldest of three children. He spent 41 years in Sales and Transportation. First with the Frisco Railroad and then with the Burlington Northern.  Jerry met Lois , his best friend and the love of his life while they were both working at the Frisco RR in 1952. They had a short courtship and married in 1953 when Jerry was transferred to Lubbock, TX to open a sales office.  Married over 69 years, they moved often with the job living in Fort Worth, Lubbock and Houston, TX, Oklahoma City, OK, Bellevue, WA and Novato, California, finally retiring to Anacortes, WA, in 1992. They have three children, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter that they love very much.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Joan Boyer. Surviving in addition to his wife, Lois, and brother, Ken Boyer, are his daughter Christine (Clarence Reams ), Pamela (Tom Allen ) and Patrick Boyer (Anita), their children and grandchildren and his many nieces and nephews.

Jerry's family and Catholic faith were the core of his life.  He was an active member of his church and particularly grateful for being part of the St. Mary's parish community.  He was a natural athlete and enjoyed coaching his children's athletic teams throughout their younger lives. Jerry had a natural love of people and words. He was president of several business organizations, including Toastmasters, where his love of public speaking and storytelling was always welcome.  He was warm, witty and fun to be with and he was especially good at making people everywhere smile. He loved socializing with friends, partnering in a rousing game of Bridge with his wife, Lois, and they loved to go dancing.
