Joel Lunz, 81, of Anacortes, passed away on August 28, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in September 1944, in Seattle. Joel lived a long and hardworking life marked by his dedication, craftsmanship, and quiet strength.

A skilled general contractor, Joel took great pride in his work and built a reputation for reliability, precision, and integrity. He also enjoyed working on cars, finding satisfaction in the challenge of repairing and restoring them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Florence Lunz, his beloved wife, Dorothy, and his parents-in-law: Winston and Flora and his brother Mike.

Joel is survived by his children and spouses, Cheri (Mike Noyes), Greg (Dayle) and his cherished grandsons Liam and Zayne. He is also survived by his siblings, Bob, Doug, and Mark and their respective families, and his sister-in-law, Rosemary and her family.

Joel will be remembered for his steady presence, his work ethnic, and the kindness he showed to those around him. The celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at the Dewey Community Hall, 14825 Deception Road, Anacortes, WA.
