John Gilbert Hull was born in 1943 in Mount Vernon to parents V. Gilbert Hull and Margaret (Schwartz) Hull. John was a man who lived many different lifetimes. He had an incredible amount of experiences in his 80 years. He was a husband, father (and father-in-law), grandfather, friend, fisherman, collector and story teller.

He loved to tell fishing stories and show his newest antique maritime collection items. Every time we hung out he'd surprise his family with new stories we'd never heard and retell the ones we'd heard a hundred times. He was our "beach google" and could always be relied on to laugh at a dirty joke.

He taught us the trick to barbequeing salmon (put the onions UNDERNEATH the salmon) and how to identify agates on the beach. He admired boats, animals and occasionally pretty ladies on the beach. The things we will miss about him are as endless as the ocean outside his window.

He died with dignity and comfort in the home he loved and treasured, holding the hands of his loved ones, on a quiet peaceful night. John is survived by his former spouses Sharon Hull, Kathy Hull, and Terry Fabian; his children Robyn (Clay Arango), Reyna Hull and Chelsea (Jack Freeman), and his grandchildren Theron and Charlotte Hull-Walton, Nathaniel and Serena Arango, Mason and Kellan Freeman.

At John's request, no public service will be held.
