Joseph Frederick Van Voast, 76, of Montoursville, PA, left this earth on September 4, 2020 while visiting Anacortes, WA.  Joe, Papa Joe, JoJo, Joesie was loved by all for his good humor and intellect.  He was born on August 8, 1943 in Lafayette, IN; the son of James and Marian (Brown) Van Voast.

Joseph served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and retired honorably as a Lieutenant Junior Grade in 1971.  He received his Bachelor's from the University of Florida.  In his civilian life he worked as a Financial Adviser for LPL Financial for 35 years.

Joe was preceded in death by his parent, brother and first wife, Nancy Van Voast.  He leaves behind his wife, Melinda; step daughter Laura (Mike Anderson); sister, Barbara; granddaughters: Tyler Beecroft and Megarie Van Sickle; best friends: Chris (Cheryl) Hoey, Kelly (John Reidy) and their sons: Tyler and Garrett; David (Lisa) Hoover and daughter: Quinlin; David (Sue) Hoover and many more.

Memorial Service will be held in Montoursville, PA at a later date.
