Karen Diane (Kahler) Whipple, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2023, at her residence in Anacortes, WA, with her devoted husband, Rick Danielson, by her side. She was 66 years old.

Born on September 5, 1957, in Aurora, Colorado, the daughter of Charles and Trudy Kahler. She pursued her education and eventually became the proud owner of her own Housekeeping Business, providing exceptional services to the Sedro Woolley Convalescence Center. Her dedication and commitment to her work were evident in the care and attention she gave to her clients.

Outside of her professional life, Karen had a passion for the outdoors and fishing. She loved spending her days by the water, casting her line in search of the perfect catch. Her crowning achievement was an impressive 18" Rainbow Trout, a memory cherished by all who knew her. Additionally, she took great joy in tending to her garden, finding solace and beauty in nurturing the plants around her.

Karen was a woman who appreciated the simple pleasures in life. She adored her grandchildren, Tristan and Max Cooper, and cherished every moment spent with them. She found solace and joy in their laughter and innocence, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever.

Another aspect of Karen's life that brought her great fulfillment was her love for classic rock music. Listening to bands like Led Zeppelin, ACDC, Foo Fighters, and Guns & Roses allowed her to escape into a world of timeless melodies and powerful lyrics.

Karen's faith was an integral part of her life. She embraced the Bahai Faith and dedicated herself to teaching it to seekers of the faith. Her belief in the principles of unity, equality, and justice shaped her character and guided her interactions with others.

Karen is survived by her loving husband, Rick, her devoted mother, and her dear sister, Crystal Thorsen. She will forever be remembered by her children, Joshua and Jesse Cooper, who carry her spirit within them. Her grandchildren, Tristan and Max Cooper, will continue to grow with the knowledge that their grandmother's love will forever be a part of their lives.
