Kathleen Sue
Shone
Oct 28, 1951 — Dec 9, 2022
anacortes
Kathleen Sue Shone, "Kathy", passed on surrounded by her family on December 9th. She is now at rest in Heaven and waiting for her husband, Michael. Her brother Albert, sister Laure, sons TJ, and Michael Jr, daughters Shelly and Misty miss her very much but are comforted to know that she is in "good hands" now.
Her last words were, shouted out, with hands raised, "Thank you Lord Jesus, I'm ready to come home" .No one has ever heard her "shout". These rare and beautiful words came suddenly in her last two days when she couldn't talk anymore and was quiet. Pastor, Ed Robinson, witnessed this epiphany. He said that in his 35 years of Pastoral work, he had never seen anything like Kathy's words to Jesus. Kathy and her family have attended "The Pentecostals of Anacortes" church and experienced their blessings for over 12 years
Kathy's grandson, Nathanial and granddaughter, Haylee, are carbon copies of Kathy's warm and caring way for other's spirits. Laughing is always part of their conversations.
Kathy spent her last three years in her electric recliner. Her space was the corner of her apartment. She surrounded herself with a large collection of small stuffed animals, The koala bears were her first favorite with tigers and the road runners next. Yes, she ordered a white baseball cap, a Willie Cayote bronze pin, and a Road Runner chrome pin. With a big smile, she donned her cap with its shiny pins, fit on her dark glasses, and did I mention her 24/7 warm smile and easy laughter for all visitors.
Kathy's friend, Dave, sent these words after she passed on to Heaven:
"Please accept my most sincere condolences for the loss of your beloved wife. Her warmth and friendly nature made her one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. I can't quite believe she's really gone. May she never be forgotten."
So long Sweet Kathy, I'll see you shortly.
Your Loving Best Husband,
Michael
