Daughter, Wife, Sister, Aunt and Friend Kathy Winlund most recently of Coupeville, WA left this earth on September 30, 2020.
Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by her husband, Gary Winlund of Coupeville, her stepfather Les Warren (Lourdes) of Oak Harbor, WA; brothers: Jim (Peggy) Warren of Coupeville and Richard Warren of Nampa, ID; and nephews and nieces: Budd (Kathy) Moena of Sedro Woolley, Michael (Kate) and Wade Moena, both of Anacortes, Sam and Allie Moena of Mount Vernon; Kelsey and Alex Heath of Dallas, TX and Malachai Moena of Albuquerque, New Mexico,
Born in Modesto California on October 19, 1956, Kathy's primary education was in the State of California. She graduated from high school in Warrenton, Oregon, and earned her Associate's degree from Clatsop Community College in Astoria Oregon. She married Gary Winlund in April 2011.
Kathy spent 20+ years working in customer service, employed by ABBCO in Astoria Oregon and The Astoria and Warrenton Mini Marts, where people came to know her quick wit and easy smile. Devoted to her pets, Kathy gave of her free time supporting organizations that rescue and care for animals in need. She was also an avid reader.
Kathy will be interred near her Mother, Colleen, at Fern Hill Cemetery in Anacortes Washington on October 9, 2020. A Celebration of Life is tentatively planned for April 15, 2021 in Astoria Oregon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Kathy's name to your local humane society or animal rescue operation.
