Kelly Patricia Lang, age 65, passed away on February 24, 2023 in Mount Vernon, Washington.  Born in Bellingham, on August 25, 1957, Kelly grew up in Anacortes and graduated from Anacortes High School in 1976.   

   Kelly attended Skagit Valley College for two years, and then moved on to her career of providing services to visitors of the National Parks.  She worked at many parks over the seasons and years, but summer season always meant she'd be at her favorite—Yellowstone, where she worked from 1979-2016.   

   Kelly loved travel, hiking, and had special affection for other living creatures.  When a workplace injury disabled her in 2017, she worked hard to recover and found time to volunteer at the Humane Society of Skagit County.   

   Preceding Kelly in death were her parents, Howard ("Sam") and Peggy Lang, as well as sisters Margaret Kratochvil and Sherry Graden. She is survived by her siblings: Beth Clark, Kurt and Karl Lang.   

   There are no current plans for a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to the Humane Society of Skagit County.
