Leila Jo Meyer, 87 of Anacortes, passed peacefully at her residence on Monday, April 10, 2023 and went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born in Ontario, CA on July 30, 1935; the daughter of Morton and Gladys (Pierce) Hull and sister to James. Their home was filled with music. Leila grew up in Ontario and graduated from Chaffey High School with the Class of 1953.

Leila enjoyed modeling, decorating and owning a Tea Shoppe in Exeter, NH. She met the love of her life, Theodore Norman Meyer and they married in 1972 in California. Ted introduced her to his passion for sailing. Together they enjoyed many excursions on their boat, White Pumpkin. They cherished their life together and loved volunteering; starting a clothing ministry in San Pedro, CA and when they relocated to Anacortes, WA, in 1996, their passion followed, expanding The FBC Clothes Closet Ministry. Ted and Leila being community oriented, boosted the local economy by shopping locally and especially frequenting their favorites: Buers, Calico Cupboard and the Rockfish Grill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 47 years, Ted; her son Rand Wood and step daughter Linda Meyer.
