Lois Irene Boyer (Hagan), 94, died peacefully September 10, 2025, with her family at her side. Lois was baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection, April 6, 1931, in St. Louis, Missouri to Martin Henry Hagan and Irene M. Hagan (Qualls).

Lois lived a remarkable life growing up in St. Louis, Missouri where she was the third of five children. During high school Lois volunteered for the Navy's Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service (WAVES) program. She was very proud of her contributions to the service. After high school, Lois used her office skills to get a job at the Frisco Railroad in 1952 where she met her best friend and the love of her life, Jerry Boyer . They worked together in the same Frisco office. They had a short courtship and married in 1953 when Jerry was transferred to Lubbock, TX, the first of many cities they would move to together during their 69 years of married life.

Lois worked while raising children with Jerry. In Oklahoma City she worked as a Medical Assistant for an orthopedic surgeon, was an Office Manager for a large Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise and at Catholic Charities helping to provide a variety of social services focused on family and children's welfare and housing. She became a Mortgage Loan Officer in Bellevue, Washington, and then a Mortgage Insurance Agent at Tiger IMI in San Francisco.

Lois's family and Catholic faith were the core of her life. She was an active member of her church and volunteered for many of the church's women's organizations, and proud member of the DAR, Daughters of the American Revolution.

Lois and Jerry had three children, Christine (Clarence Reams ), Pam (Tom Allen ) and Patrick (Anita) Boyer, and made a loving nurturing impact on their children and grandchildren.

Lois and Jerry did almost everything together during their 69 years and it usually involved socializing and entertaining, making and keeping lots of friends with every move they made. Most of those years were spent as duplicate bridge partners, where Lois's intellect, quick wit, smiling face and humor were a perfect fit for Jerry's easy charm and joke telling. During many hot games of bridge Lois could be remembered saying to Jerry, "Jerome, you gave me the wrong bid!"
