Mabel Jean
Lambert
Jun 17, 1931 — Apr 24, 2022
Everett
Mabel Jean Langdon-Lambert passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 24, 2022 in Everett, Washington.
She was born on June 17, 1931 to George and Margaret Langdon in Anacortes, Washington.
Mabel loved growing up when Anacortes was a small town where everybody knew everybody's business and looked out for one another. She was especially close with her Grandmother Inglis recalling the two of them going to see every new matinee, sitting in the same seats at the Empire Theatre and stopping for a 5 cent ice cream on their way home. She had wonderful memories of mischief and great adventure shared with her best buddy, Virgie, and told of a special paperboy sweetheart who would visit every afternoon on his way home from making deliveries. She worked in the old cannery and although it was brisk work she loved the women she worked with and made it fun.
After graduating from Anacortes High School she married Loren Lambert and moved to Everett where they raised their family. She and Loren were married 55 years before his death in 2011.
Mabel possessed a special gift for making lifelong friends. She was passionate about having fun and made it her mission to bring a smile to everyone around her. She delighted in playing Bingo and socializing at the Eagles and Senior Center, gaming in Reno and vacationing on the Oregon coast.
Mabel was predeceased by her husband, her parents and sister, Betty. She is survived by her children; Aileen (Todd) Spradlin and Brian ( Megan) Lambert. She leaves four grandsons; Collin, Drew, Tyler and Luke.
Mabel always considered Anacortes home and will be laid to rest with her parents and sister at the Grand View Cemetery with a private family gathering. . In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the
