We mourn the loss of our beloved husband, son, stepfather and grandfather.  Marcus passed away peacefully a Skagit Valley Hospital on October 7, 2021, after a battle with Covid.

Marcus was born in Lompoc, California and his family moved to Washington when he was 10 days old. He was a "military brat" following his father up and down the West Coast.

In 2003, Marcus met his soulmate Penny and they married in 2009.  Penny blessed him with a ready-made family that filled him with joy.  He was a gentle giant, a friend to all, loved his motorcycle, camping, fishing and traveling. Remembered by his many friends and family for his zest for life and his smiling-everything-is-okay attitude.

Marcus is survived by his mother, Margaret Whatley; his wife, Penny; stepchildren: Stephanie, Richard and Crystal; grandchildren: Cody, Zoie, Zach, Reily, Clyde, Samantha, Briar, Nevaeh and Roberto; his aunts, uncles and cousins in England; sister-in-law, Cathy and family; many good friends and especially Derek and Bobby.

Marcus is preceded in death by his father Christopher, his grandparents and his good friend, Keith Cain.
