Marilyn Forgaard (née Holden) passed away October 7, 2022, leaving behind family and friends to mourn her. Marilyn was born on April 25, 1935 to Lyndall and Alene Holden in Denver, Colorado. She was raised in Colorado, then California, and later relocated with her family to Seahurst Seattle Washington; where she attended Highline High School. After graduating in 1953 she enjoyed her first job as an attendant for the United Airlines ticket counter.

In 1957, she married Louis D. Klebold, with whom she had four children: Dan, Carrie, Shaun, and Louis Jr. While raising her children she worked in clothing sales and later at Skagit Valley College in student testing. Marilyn was married to Bob Thom for over twenty years. On October 7, 2006, she married James Forgaard, whom she cared for until his passing in 2011.

Marilyn had a creative heart and a was true lover of nature. She loved to sail, RV travel, and was an avid gardener. Poetry writing was one of her favorite hobbies, as well as daily walks through Washington Park near her home in Anacortes, WA.

She is survived by her children Carrie, Shaun, and Louis; her grandchildren Kayla, Meaghan, Bryanna, Isabelle, Collin, and Owen, her great-grandchildren Melody, Everly, Hazel, and Eileen; and her sisters-in-law Jeanne Giberson and Vera DeRosa.
