Born on May 14, 1945, in Tacoma, Washington to Alexander and Behula Brockway.  Marge lived a life filled with love, laugher and deep faith.  She married the love of her life, Richard Karpen, on August 29, 1965, on McNeil Island, Washington.  Together they built a beautiful life in Bellevue, Washington raising their two children, Julie Necco & Jason Karpen.

In 2001 Marge & Dick moved to Lopez Island, where they build their home looking over beautiful Swifts Bay. They were active members in their community including their church and Lopez Hospice & Home Support.

Marge was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.  Her greatest joy came from spending time with family & friends, especially her grandchildren; Chloe Britton, Riley Karpen, Zachary Karpen, Chelsea Karpen, Rhena Hinchliffe, Mia Karpen & Noelle Karpen.

She loved music and dancing.  Her other interests included reading, crossword puzzles, crocheting, playing cards and other games. She was a great cook/baker and enjoyed hosting family and friends.  Her adventurous spirit led her across the world to the Dominican Republic, Mexico, China, Thailand, Croatia and Italy.

Marge will be remembered for her warm heart, gift for listening and her kindness toward everyone she met.  She lived each day with grace and compassion.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara Hopper and preceded in death by her other siblings John Brockway, Denis Brockway and Joyce Mazza.

Marjorie's life was a beautiful reflection of love, faith and generosity. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by those who knew her.
