Martha Blanche King, 86 of Anacortes, WA passed peacefully on Saturday, April 10, 2021.  She was born on July 5, 1934 in Port Blakely, WA, the daughter of William and Margaret (Pearson) Shefendecker.  Martha grew up in Seattle; graduated from Roosevelt High School, went on to U of W majoring in Art where she met her future husband Neil M. King.  They started a family that grew to four children bringing them up in California.  After her retirement she moved to Anacortes, WA to care for her mother, Margaret Shefendecker.  She will be remembered as a fun, witty friend and mom who never missed a chance to laugh.  Her love of crossword puzzles and reading was legendary. She is survived by daughter, Marnel King, sons: Kendall and Leslie King and sister, Jeanne Carlson and many loved grandchildren, nieces and nephews.   She will be missed by all.
