Mary Barr, 81, of Anacortes, Washington passed away on February 4, 2026.

Mary lived a life guided by curiosity, spirit, and an ever-expanding love of learning. She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose presence was both grounding and inspiring.

Mary was free-spirited by nature, with a deep appreciation for the world's beauty and mystery. She found joy in gardening, dance, and the company of birds.  She was endlessly fascinated by physics and astronomy—always eager to look upward, ask questions, and explore what lay beyond the known. Teaching and learning were central to who she was, and she carried a lifelong passion for expanding her horizons and encouraging others to do the same.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa England, her granddaughter, Brittany England, and her son-in-law, Norman Rodeo, who will carry forward her wisdom, curiosity, and love.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Jamie England, and her mother, Edna Warwick.

Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the questions she inspired, and the sense of wonder she shared so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

In honoring Mary's life, the family invites you to remember her by nurturing curiosity, embracing learning, and taking a moment to look up at the sky.
