Salvatore Michael Vitale, 72, of Anacortes WA, born in Cleveland, Ohio passed away peacefully at home with his Beloved wife Debra Crowe-Vitale by his side.

Michael was the son of Francesco Salvatore Vitale and Josephine Lombardo Vitale (both deceased). Loving father of Ross Reid and Arran Joseph, dear brother of Josephine Anna Vitale and Nancy Murphy Vitale, and devoted uncle to Charles Allan (deceased), Kelsey Jossette, and Alexa Francine.

Michael's earlier years were full of travel and adventures in Florida, Colorado, California, Alaska and then the State of Washington settling, in Anacortes WA. His life in Alaska included raising his sons, enjoying the outdoors, and contributing to the Sitka community. His life in the State of Washington, Edmonds, and Anacortes, found Michael involved in the contracting and boating industries. Later in life, his reinvention of himself upon retiring included joining the Anacortes art and music community, co-founding the Anacortes Music Channel, participating in festivals, concerts, art exhibits, and volunteering. He loved interacting with family and friends, discussing various topics, singing playing instruments, photography, painting and cooking. Michael lived a full life and will be deeply missed by many.

A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for July 15 th at 2pm at Evans Funeral Chapel, 1105 32 nd Street, Anacortes, WA, 98221. An ocean internment of ashes is scheduled for July 16 th , 11:30am, at the Guemes Island Ferry Terminal (walk on), 500 I Avenue, Anacortes, WA 98221.
