Michael Alan
Webb
Feb 21, 1950 — Jan 31, 2025
Anacortes
Michael Alan Webb died at home on January 31, 2025 attended by his family. He was born on February 21,1950 in Boulder Colorado, the son of Jack and Mary Webb. The family moved frequently in his early years, arriving in Anacortes in 1957 when his father was sent by Texaco to help build their new refinery. After that, the moving stopped and Mike graduated from Anacortes High School in 1968. In his senior year he met his future wife, Dana. They married in 1972 and celebrated their fifty-second anniversary last year.
Mike earned a BA in economics and a BS in electrical engineering from the University of Washington. He worked for a number of small companies in the Seattle area as a computer hardware engineer, spending the last fifteen years of his career with Intel as a liaison to Microsoft. After retirement in 2007, he and Dana moved back to Anacortes and enjoyed living in the area where they both had grown up.
Golf, fast cars, and learning new things were among Mike's many interests. He was a long-time member of the Kiwanis Sunrisers, taking an enthusiastic part in club activities. He very much appreciated the friendship of his fellow Kiwanians.
Family always came first in Mike's heart. He is survived by his wife, his sons Brendan Webb (Michele) and Joel Webb (Rebecca), and two beloved grandchildren. His brother, Steve Webb (Lynne) of Anacortes, also survives him, but their sister, Barbara Webb Stewart, died in 1989.
Mike was a kind, generous, loving and much-loved husband, father and grandfather. He was also very funny and wonderful company, which garnered him many friends throughout his life. We will always miss him.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3 at 1:00 pm at the Methodist Church, 2201 H Avenue, in Anacortes. All are welcome.
