Nancy Jeanne Bozeman, 83, of Redmond, WA passed away on September, 16, 2024 surrounded by family at home.  Born on July 26, 1941 at Long Beach, CA, she was the daughter of John E. and Sybil (Cook) Cox.  As a child, her family moved from Compton, CA to Anacortes, WA where her father was employed by Shell Oil.

Nancy (Cox) Stone, a single mother, who was raising her son Brian, met James L. "Jim" Bozeman who was raising his three children, Tim, Scott and Cheryl in Anacortes.  They fell in love and on April 13, 1965, they were married.

The family lived in Washington until they moved to California for a few years due to Jim's employment with the cable/phone company. In the 1970's they moved back to Washington and settled in the Education Hill neighborhood of Redmond.  Jim and Nancy were married for 49 years until his death in 2014.

Nancy, who worked as a medical assistant, enjoyed gardening, sewing, watching TV, reading, cooking and fishing.

Nancy is survived by her sons, Brian Buse-Stone, Tim Bozeman, Scott Bozeman, and daughter Cheryl Bozeman.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Patricia, Sadie, and Kyle as well as three great grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother Terry Cox.

A viewing will be held on at Evans Funeral Chapel in Anacortes, WA at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 and a graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM at the Grand View Cemetery in Anacortes, WA.  Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., Anacortes, WA and the San Juan Islands.
