On July 9, 2025, Neil W. Bryant passed away at his home on Shaw Island, Washington, one day after celebrating his 85th birthday.
Neil was born in Concord, New Hampshire, to Ira and Irene Bryant, and grew up in Suncook along with his brother, Alan. There, he ultimately graduated from the Pembroke Academy, carrying enduring memories of his formative years in New England.

He went on to attend the University of New Hampshire, where he joined Air Force ROTC and proudly organized a drill team. Neil later earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine at Tufts University, where he met the love of his life, Angela Reid. After marrying, Neil served his country as a Navy dental officer in Key West, Florida. He and Angela later moved to Chicago for his residency before putting down roots in Seattle, where he attained his post-graduate degree in Endodontics at the University of Washington.  He would go on to co-found endodontics Northwest, an endodontic practice that has cared for countless patients over the years.

While Neil valued his career, his deepest fulfillment came from his life on Shaw Island. There, he poured his energy into the land he loved—sculpting fields and planting scores of trees that now stand as a lasting testament to his vision and care. His commitment to the community extended beyond his own property: he helped commission Shaw Field, a gathering place and ballpark that continues to bring neighbors and families together. For Neil, tending the land and fostering community were acts of devotion that defined his later years.
Above all, Neil was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved time with his family, gathered around the table, sharing stories of his New England upbringing. His warmth, humor, and unwavering dedication to those he loved will be deeply missed.
Neil is survived by his wife of many years, Angela; his brother, Alan; his children, Jeff, Chris, and Lucinda; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service was held on Shaw Island, where Neil was laid to rest in the community he cherished. His legacy of kindness, service, and love will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
