Patricia (Pat) Lee Darling, 73, of Burlington and formerly of Anacortes, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021.  She was born to Herman and Patricia (Nord) Otterstedt in Port Jefferson, New York on September 6, 1947.  During her adolescent and teen years, she lived in Colorado, graduating from Summit County High in 1964 at the age of 16.  The majority of her adult life was lived in Washington State in the cities of Anacortes and Lynnwood.

Upon moving to Anacortes in 1964, she met the love of her life, Vernon Darling, and on October 29, 1965 they were married. They had four children together, who they raised in the Cap Sante neighborhood of Anacortes.  Pat worked throughout her life as a bookkeeper for various businesses, retiring at age 65.  Some of the activities Pat enjoyed include participating in various  bowling leagues, Emblem Club (Elks), and morning radio bingo with her favorite neighbor Robbi Welch.  Her favorite food was chocolate, and she was very serious about it!!

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 41 years, Vernon Henry Darling in December 2006; her brother Thomas Otterstedt; and great grandson, Grady Thomas.  Pat is survived by her children (spouses): Shelly (Tony) Davelaar, Marcy (Doug) Darling, Corey (Jana) Darling and Tracy (Corey) Kiesser; eight grandchildren (spouses): Gage (Emily), Thea, Demi, Bryce, Braiden, Andrew Jay, Brandon (Khaili) and Mason. Sisters: Diane "Dee" Davey, Suzanne (Mike) Henson and Lori Otterstedt.

She will be missed by her children, grandchildren, friends, and family.  A graveside service will be held for her at Grand View Cemetery in Anacortes at 1pm on Saturday May 22, 2021.
