Our beloved caring mother, Patricia Ann Elmore, at the tender age of 93, peacefully passed into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father at home on Sunday, February 2nd. She was born in Borup, Minnesota, the daughter of Elmer and  Gertrude  Aarhus.

At the age of 12, her family moved to Tacoma, Washington. Patricia completed her education at St. Leo's Catholic School in 1949. She married the love of her life, Ron Elmore in 1952. Together they enjoyed 66 wonderful years together before Ron's passing in 2018.

Patricia was a lovely lady of deep Christian faith.  She loved people and they in turn, loved her.  Such a caring and giving women, those who met her, even casually were touched and drawn to her graciousness.

Ron and Pat moved to Anacortes in 1960 where they happily raised their five children. While raising her children, she volunteered as a Bluebird Leader and was very active with St. Mary's CYO program. Later she went to work for Safeway as a meat wrapper and continued in this profession for 17 years.

After retiring, Patricia's loving, giving nature allowed her to help raise two of her amazing grandchildren through their school years.  In 1997, with the help of her husband, Patricia was given the opportunity to once again give back to the community by chairing the St. Mary's bi-annual Rummage Sale which they both participated in for over 10 years. In her later years, she found much joy and satisfaction in her gardening; geraniums were her favorite flowers.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Gertrude, her husband, Ron and two sisters and one brother.  She is survived by her sister Topie Ledford of Redding, CA; her children Kathy Cullup, Julie (Brian Deaton) Danny (Laurie), Mike (Jana). Maxine (Ford Northen); 13 grandchildren: Lisa (Pete Nelson), Mandy (Daniel Rude), Junell (Michael Welch), Katie Deaton, Jessica Reik, Tyler (Krisha), Julianne Elmore, Jason and Justin Smith, Josh (Booie), Jenny Elmore, Shelby and Sierra Northen and 17 great grandchildren.  She was an angel on earth and now she is in God's care and reunited with her husband Ron and other family members. Rest in peace Mom, till we meet you again.
