Paul French Peterson II went home to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on October 11, 2020 at age 79. Born April 25, 1941 to Paul and Ruth Peterson in Everett, WA., there he grew up and graduated from Everett High School. Paul attended WSU where he met & married Janice, his loving wife of 56 years. After graduation Paul's marketing & finance work required extensive international travel. In a dramatic career change Paul and Jan purchased a store and moved the family to Republic, WA in 1974. For more than 20 years they enjoyed living, fishing and playing on Curlew Lake. While in Republic they fell in love with the San Juan Island and Anacortes where they moored their sailboat. In 1999 Paul & Jan retired to Anacortes, where they could focus on their love of the ocean by sailing & boating. Throughout his life Paul enjoyed music & many other hobbies–woodworking, scuba diving, skiing, flying, hunting, fishing, & boating. Paul was predeceased by his wife Janice Elizabeth Peterson and sister Joan McCord. He is survived by daughters Elizabeth Law (Andrew) and Pamela Scott (Danny), grandchildren Juliet, Hannah, Aaron, & Jack, and great grandchildren Aveline, Sylvia, Zonya, Clive and Harriet. We wish to extend a sincere appreciation to Hospice of the Northwest for their kind care. Due to Covid restrictions no public service was held. Memoriams in Paul's name may be made to Hospice of the Northwest or Westminster Presbyterian Church in Anacortes. Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Chapel and Crematory Inc., Anacortes and the San Juan Islands. To share memories of Paul please sign the online guest register at www.evanschapel.com
