Penny L. Barnard, born in Thompson Falls Montana, April 15, 1948, was a long-time resident of Anacortes WA. She passed away on November 23, 2024, at her home, surrounded by family and friends. She fought a two-year battle with the disease ALS but always had a very bright spirit.

She is survived by her loving husband, Walt Barnard and his three children, Kay, Mike & Kim, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She has two brothers, Ken and Martin, with family in Montana. Her younger sister, Connie, preceded her in death and her family is in Montana. Her older brother Gene, also preceded her in death and his Boston family has always been very close to her.

Her love of quilting and sewing was only exceeded by her love of boating and the great relationships that she made.  Her ashes will be interned at the GAR cemetery in Snohomish WA.

The family is planning on a late spring celebration of her life at her home.
